Role Purpose: To provide expert professional and business leadership for the development, delivery and evaluation of the British Council's (BC) global Education strategy in the area of higher education (focused on the core HE elements of: students, mobility and teaching) aligned to wider corporate and Education & Society (E&S) objectives and priorities, ensuring the portfolio makes a highly respected and significant contribution to the organisation's cultural relations across all E&S income streams.

Role:    Group Finance Director (Europe)

Location:    Livingston, East Lothian, Scotland

Remuneration:  to £90,000 plus car allowance, bonus, pension, phi


Role Purpose: The Group FD Europe reports to the CEO Europe, and is responsible for developing and maintaining the financial wellbeing of the Group. He/she is responsible for all Group financial reporting including financial regulatory requirements, risk management, providing financial projections and accounting services, supporting budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and preparing growth plans. The Group FD Europe supervises Group finances and is responsible for the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Job Title:  Finance Director

Client: Food sector

Location:  South Manchester / Cheshire

Remuneration:  £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience plus excellent bonus & benefits

Job Purpose:

Advise the MD and the Board on all matters relating to Finance to enable achievement of company growth ambitions and the business plan.  Provide management accounting decision support and monitor, report on and control performance whilst ensuring full regulatory compliance.  Plan, develop and lead the finance function so it supports the business, and future growth, enabling the company to provide a best in class service to its customers.  The FD is a key member of the management team expected to be involved in and contributing to, this fast moving, entrepreneurial environment.
