The Role;  IT Manager (& M365 lead)

Techcomp Europe (TEU) is part of the Hong King headquartered global Techcomp Instrument Ltd (TIL) Group, consisting of a group of scientific instrument manufacturing businesses. TEU has offices and production sites in five European countries (UK, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Romania) plus Sales & Support offices in the US & UAE. We employ circa 275+ people. The Role: TEU is experiencing transitional change as a global business, and a welcome consequence of this is the collaboration of the support functions within the Group. EI has historically operated on a stand alone basis, but is now leading the transformation of a matrixed Group structure. Our new IT Manager will be responsible for the administration of the EI technology and management information systems, in addition to having an input into our technology strategy of the future. We are focused on fully utilising our M365 applications across the business, and a significant part of this role will be about making this happen. Our culture change is more than hardware & software applications, its about the people agenda, and so a significant part of this role will be about enabling, training, best practise awareness and supporting our employees as transition. Employee engagement will be one of your key measures of success. Key Responsibilities include:

• Driving the use of M365 applications to improve collaboration across projects and between sites including the use of SharePoint

• Driving digital strategy

• Input into our technology strategy including assisting the formulation and implementation of a technology roadmap for the business

• Cybersecurity

• End User Compute (EUC) facilities

• Application management

• Vendor management and control of IT budgets

• Project manage migrations of business management software such as ERP and CRM (in collaboration with the Group ERP lead)

• Ensure all relevant regulations (e.g., software licencing laws) are followed

• Driving best practice of IT systems throughout the organisation

• M365 & SharePoint – provide user training, advice, support to our employees – bring our employees with us on our journey of change!

• Be curious & innovative – drive best practice, tell us where we could better utilise our systems, help us be more IT efficient 

 The Candidate

 • A degree in a relevant subject or appropriate experience 
• Extensive hands-on M365 knowledge is essential 
• Experience in Systems Administration/Engineering with M365 
• A successful track record leading and managing change around IT migration 
• An experienced IT trainer who can successfully support our people agenda and embed our culture change 
 • Experience in vendor management 
 • Agile delivery experience 
• Customer focused – a good understanding of how decisions benefit end customers and internal stakeholders
 • Results orientated, quick learner and multi-tasker and able to successfully manage workload and timescales.
 • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, a good communicator
 • Curious and innovative – strives for best practice 
• Prepared to travel occasionally
