Purpose of job:

  • Account manage a small number of existing and potential corporate partnerships, maximising the benefits in terms of income, impact, influence and innovation (50%).
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and consultancy to our network of global partnership staff in managing relationships with corporates globally (30%).
  • With the wider Partnerships and Business Development team, help plan and embed a more professional approach to corporate partnerships throughout the organisation, including market insight, cultivation, account management and relationship management database (20%).

Client: A distributor of European manufactured ambient packaged cake, bead and morning goods

Job Title: Food Technologist (part time, office based)

Responsible to: Technical Director

Location: South Manchester (close to motorway networks)

Hours of Work: Ideally 5 days a week, 4 hours per day (flexible to suit)

Remuneration:  Pro rata £40,00 annual salary (£20k) - depending on experience - plus pro rata discretionary bonus

Our client is a distributor of European manufactured ambient packaged cake, bread and morning goods to international multiples and wholesalers with a turnover of £23m.  By providing high quality food technology, development and marketing resources the company has strong relationships with major supermarkets and wholesalers.  With excellent growth prospects ahead the business is now looking to recruit a part time Food Technologist to further support the team.

Overall Purpose

  • To represent the client with customers and maintain the company's techical reputation
  • Ensure food safety, quality, legality and fitness for purpose of existing and new products supplied by the company
  • Technical contact for production sites
  • Offer Technical support to the Technical team to successfully launch new products and manage existing products within agreed timescales
