The post holder will be responsible for managing mechanical engineering based in Manchester as the principal contact with overall responsibility for the successful delivery of manufacturing and fabrication drawings for nuclear related projects.  Liaising with divisional sites to provide project and manufacturing information for the workshops, you will lead a small team of Project/Mechanical Design Engineers and CAD staff in the execution of specific packages of work/contracts issued by a range of clients and involving both carbon and stainless steel.  The role will include cost control, project life cycle management, resource allocation and technical query resolution to ensure deliverables comply with project specifications and client requirements.

We seek a Mechanical Engineer, degree qualified or equivalent, with sound industry related experience and proven success in the delivery of fabrication and manufacturing related projects.  Your experience will be within an equipment design and manufacturing environment, with knowledge of project management tools.  In addition to your strong technical background you will be adept at multi-tasking and work well under pressure; an experienced team leader capable of focusing team members to achieve objectives.  You will possess good communication skills both written and verbal, and be computer literate.
