Six figure salary plus benefits

We seek a senior leader with an exemplary technical background, curiosity for new technologies, an eye for market opportunities and focus on longer term investment.  If you're looking for a new role as CEO of an SME $20-$25m business where your business savvy and innovative approach will be welcomed, then we want to hear from you.

Our client is a global scientific instruments manufacturer of Gas Chromotography and Mass Spectrometry systems for the Petrochemical, Environmental and Research Markets. It sits within an established European Group of Companies, each involved in the manufacture and distribution of scientific instruments with strong and well established brands. The European Group has global reach via its Parent.

You may be currently working as CEO / MD / GM in a similar high tech organisation, or perhaps as the No2 in a larger organisation seeking to step up into the Senior Leadership role. Reporting to the Group CEO you will have overall responsibility for the business unit - P&L, products and people. This is a true leadership role with your team dispersed globally - UK, Netherlands, US and Asia. As part of a successful international business; the European Group fully leverages its global markets and networks.

Intellectually astute with a good first degree in science or engineering, your technical expertise and overall understanding of the scientific instruments industry will be strong. You will have credible general management experience with P&L responsibility and a flair for strategic development (product and commercial); and experience with GC and MS at some stage in your career. You'll bring with you a good understanding of the Chemical and Applied markets. An inspirational people manager and developer; you will favour a collaborative approach. Regular European plus ad hoc international business travel will be required.
